Beschreibung der Besonderheiten
Commercial and public functions are located along the main street that runs through the development, forming a vibrant social and commercial axis. This street functions as a functional spine that connects residential areas, green spaces, and existing urban infrastructure, including the future Metrobosco green belt and the city’s planned new ring road.
Circulation flows are designed to be clear and uninterrupted: pedestrian traffic is prioritized over vehicles, while all parking is placed underground, allowing the ground level to be fully dedicated to residents and community use.
The sloped topography allows for a natural division of functional levels, giving each building access to views and natural light. Vertical and horizontal connections are integrated with the terrain, minimizing excavation while enhancing access and inclusivity.
Nachhaltigkeit
The project utilizes Rockwool insulation panels, a stone wool-based material that provides an efficient solution for thermal and acoustic insulation as well as fire protection.
Efficiency:
Rockwool features a low thermal conductivity (λ), making it ideal for reducing energy loss in buildings and improving overall energy performance.
Consistency and sustainability:
Rockwool is made from natural and renewable resources, specifically basalt – a volcanic rock that is abundant in nature. Its production follows sustainable principles, with a high proportion of recycled content and minimal waste.
Sufficiency:
Rockwool is a durable material with a long service life and requires little to no maintenance or replacement, supporting resource efficiency throughout the building’s lifecycle.
Cradle to Cradle:
Rockwool is fully recyclable and aligns with the cradle-to-cradle principle, as it can be reprocessed into new insulation products at the end of its life cycle without any loss in quality.
