Das Produkt gibt es mit Motor-, Kurbel- und Gurtbedienung. Die
physikalischen Eigenschaften sind abhängig vom Einbauzustand in Abhängigkeit vom Montagezeitpunkt und Verlauf der wasserführenden Schicht. Je nach Einbauzustand, Einbauort und Position sind die technischen Möglichkeiten und Eigenschaften unterschiedlich zu bewerten.

Grundlegend dient der Rollladen zur Abdunklung von Wohnräumen vor dem Fenster.

Bei Verwendung als Sonnenschutz müssen die Lichtschlitze zur Verhinderung eines Hitzestaus zwischen Fenster und Behang geöffnet sein.

Ein Vorteil bei außen liegenden Rollläden ist, dass ein hoher sommerlicher Wärmeschutz erreicht werden kann. Die aus der Sonneneinstrahlung resultierende Absorptionswärme wird bei diesem System bereits außen vor dem zu verschattenden Fensterbauteil abgeführt. Das unerwünschte Eindringen von solaren Wärmeeinträgen in das Gebäudeinnere wird minimiert.</common:generalComment>

Das Flchengewicht eines reprsentativen ROMA Rollladens betrgt 6,69 kg (ohne Verpackungsmaterialien).
Dabei wurde ein Breiten-/Lngenverhltnis von 2,0 m (Breite) x 2,5 m (Behanglnge) als reprsentativ angenommen. Insgesamt ergibt sich somit eine Gesamtflche von 5 m.

Die Ergebnisse der EPD sind repräsentativ für Rollladen-Systeme der Firma ROMA KG (Handelsname: 'ROMA Rollladen'), hergestellt an den Standorten Burgau, Rostock, Oschatz und Ludwigshafen (Deutschland). Hier werden jeweils einzelne Komponenten der Sonnenschutzsysteme gefertigt. Die konkrete Konfiguration der Rollladen-Komponenten wurde auf Basis des Bestsellers ausgewählt. Für jede einzelne Komponente wurde die Variante mit der höchsten Umweltlast betrachtet.
Basis der EPD sind Produktionsdaten aus dem Jahr 2022.

System boundary:
Typ der EPD: Wiege bis Werkstor mit Optionen.

A1-A3 Das Produktionsstadium enthält die Rohstoffbereitstellung und Herstellung von Vorprodukten und extern produzierten Komponenten sowie deren Transport zu den ROMA-Werken. Alle Aufwendungen für Fertigungsprozesse bei ROMA wurden berücksichtigt (inkl. Energie-, Wasserbereitstellung, Bereitstellung von Hilfsstoffen, Entsorgung von Abfällen). Die Transportaufwendungen (A2) sowie die Herstellungsprozesse (A3) basieren auf produktspezifischen Daten. Die Herstellungsprozesse der Rohstoffe, Vorprodukte und extern produzierten Komponenten (A1) basieren auf Hintergrunddaten aus Sphera's MLC-Datenbanken.

A4 Transport zum Ort der Installation (LKW, Diesel, 100 km).

A5 Installation der Produkte: Thermische Verwertung von Verpackungsabfällen.

B6 Energiebedarf in der Nutzungsphase. Der Energiebedarf wird über die Leistungsaufnahme des verwendeten Motors und die Einsatzdauer während der definierten Bedienzyklen (10.000 Zyklen) berechnet.

C1 Deinstallation der Produkte: Manueller Ausbau (lastenfrei).

C2 Transport zum Ort der Entsorgung (LKW, Diesel, 50 km).

C3 Entsorgungsstadium: Abfallbehandlung (thermische Verwertung von Kunststoffen, Schreddern von Elektronik-Schrott).

C4 Deponie von Inertmaterialien.

D Recyclingpotential (inkl. Einschmelzprozess und Gutschrift des wiedergewonnenen Metalls) sowie Potentiale aus der Energiesubstitution der thermischen Verwertung in den Modulen A3, A5 und C3. Für die thermische und elektrische Energie, die in den Modulen A5 und C3 durch die thermische Behandlung der Verpackungs- und Produktabfällen entstehen, wurden die Potentiale aus der Energiesubstitution durch die Energieerzeugung des Netzstrom-Mixes und der thermischen Energie aus Erdgas unter Verwendung europäischer Datensätze berechnet.

Betrachtungszeitraum:
Der untersuchte Zeitraum für die Erhebung der Produktionsdaten bezieht sich auf das Jahr 2022.</useAdviceForDataSet><useAdviceForDataSet xml:lang="en">Scope:
The results of the EPD are representative for the roller shutter systems of the ROMA KG company (trade name: 'ROMA Rollladen'), manufactured at the sites Burgau, Rostock, Oschatz and Ludwigshafen (Germany). Here, individual components of the sun protection systems are produced. The concrete configuration of the roller shutter components was selected based on the bestseller. For each component, the variant with the highest environmental burden was considered.
The basis of the EPD is production data from the year 2022.

System boundary:
Type of EPD: cradle-to-factory gate with options.

A1-A3 The production stage includes raw material supply and manufacturing of pre-products and externally produced components as well as their transport to the ROMA plants. All inputs for manufacturing processes at ROMA have been accounted for (including energy and water provision, provision of auxiliary substances, disposal of waste). The transport inputs (A2) as well as the manufacturing processes (A3) are based on product-specific data. The manufacturing processes of the raw materials, pre-products and externally produced components (A1) are based on background data from Sphera's MLC databases.

A4 Transport to the installation site (truck, diesel, 100 km).

A5 Installation of the products: Thermal recovery of packaging waste.

B6 Energy demand in the use phase. The energy demand is calculated from the power consumption of the motor used and the operating duration during the defined operating cycles (10,000 cycles).

C1 Deinstallation of the products: Manual dismantling (unloaded).

C2 Transport to the disposal site (truck, diesel, 50 km).

C3 End-of-life stage: Waste treatment (thermal recovery of plastics, shredding of electronic waste).

C4 Landfilling of inert materials.

D Recycling potential (including melting process and credit for recovered metal) as well as potentials from energy substitution of the thermal recovery in modules A3, A5 and C3. For the thermal and electrical energy created in modules A5 and C3 by the thermal treatment of packaging and product waste, the potentials from energy substitution through the electricity grid mix and the thermal energy from natural gas were calculated using European datasets.
