It also contains polymer supporting fibre based on PET and soda as improvement of the reaction to fire of the insulation. The Kingspan HemKorTM Jute Blend can be produced in all thicknesses between 30 and 220mm and is available in the standard width 1200mm and standard lengths 580 / 615 / 840 mm (other lengths on request). The Kingspan HemKorTM Jute Blend has a λD-value of 0,043 W/m·K and a density of 39-45 kg/m3. The jute fibres are supplied from various shredding plants. The natural fibres are delivered in bales. All transports for delivering raw materials are carried out by truck. In production, some of the natural fibres (hemp & jute) are sprayed with a solution of sodium carbonate (soda salt), then pre-dried and stored again. In the next step, natural fibres (impregnated and non-impregnated) are mixed with bi-component fibres. This fibre mixture is combed into thin layers in a carding machine, and these are then stacked slightly offset with the help of a compensating stacker. The material is heated in an oven and the melting fibres and natural fibres are bonded together. Then they are cut to the appropriate sizes, with both standard and customised sizes available. The leftovers from this process are put into a shredder and fed directly back into production. The cut mats are stacked and packed. Declared unit: The declared unit is 1 m2 of HemKorTM Jute Blend.
